Police are searching on the outskirts of L’Aquila city for the tiny relic after three suspected thieves tossed it away. John Paul, who died in 2005 and will be made a saint April 27 2014 during a Vatican ceremony, had celebrated Mass in the San Pietro della Ienca church.
